Ty Lawson Banned For Life From Chinese CBA After Saying Chinese Women “Got Cakes”

Videos by OutKick

Former NBA point guard Ty Lawson has been reportedly “banned for life” after controversial comments on Instagram. His IG story said “Chinese women got cakes on the low” and “Yolo i guess” in a picture with what appears to be a stripper. The Chinese CBA was furious and judging from their past, that doesn’t really mean anything.

Never heard any person get offended by Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back” — which features the immortal line “I Like Big Butts And I Cannot Lie” — but here we are. Lawson is obviously messing around and clearly forgot he works in a communist country.

The Chinese CBA insists “inappropriate words” cost him his job for good, but they really have a gripe with opinions in general. The guy expressed a thought that was technically a compliment, which is why this would never be an issue in the U.S.

Thought only America was racist?

Check out Ty Lawson’s comment sections (at your own discretion). We were told racism was exclusive to the United States, but that turned out to be a lie:

Hopefully Ty Lawson is ready to be done playing basketball because the Chinese CBA isn’t changing their ruling. At least Lawson gave us one last laugh after a great basketball career!

  1. Monoethinicity = China
“Xian Shen Lawson…you are a guest in our house…you have disgraced our women. You should leave.”
That’s how it works in some parts of the world…word.
PS…they don’t have a word for “racist”…because they’re all the same race…so good luck finding human rights commission…
“Ahhh…Xian Shen Lawson…please to follow me to the buses…we are taking some Uighurs for a picnic in the country…we will be pleased to host you as well.”
Looking in my crystal ball…I see the same treatment down the road as more and more “ballers” accept gratuities from Chinese franchisees.
    “Ball don’t LIE.”

  2. I’ll wait for the queen to take the chicoms to task for this like i am still waiting for him to do the right thing and answer the Sheriff call to donate to the reward fund for those two brave deputies who were almost assassinated one deputy is a mother with a young child were watching.

  3. Lovin’ the “cakes” comments. This story is actually a prime example of the typical actions of a communist dictatorship. Look what happens to Chinese citizens who speak controversially. They’re either immediately arrested or disappear (not to mention the concentration camps). And yet it’s all good with the NBA (and Nike).
