Twins-Red Sox Postponed Due To Riots From Officer-involved Shooting

Tonight's matchup between the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox has been postponed due to "safety concerns" after the police-involved shooting of 20-year-old Duante Wright.

The Minnesota Twins released the following statement:

For security purposes, this seems like the right move. Can't have over 10,000 baseball fans congregating while emotional protesters and rioters roam the streets of downtown Minnesota. No announcement has been made about when these games will be rescheduled, but it's possible they push back the entire series.

Of course Fenway Park is available. Not sure how fair that would be, though. It may make even more sense to play the game at a neutral site without fans.

We'll be sure to keep you guys updated for those of you still watching baseball.
