Twins-Red Sox Postponed Due To Riots From Officer-involved Shooting

Tonight’s matchup between the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox has been postponed due to “safety concerns” after the police-involved shooting of 20-year-old Duante Wright.

The Minnesota Twins released the following statement:

For security purposes, this seems like the right move. Can’t have over 10,000 baseball fans congregating while emotional protesters and rioters roam the streets of downtown Minnesota. No announcement has been made about when these games will be rescheduled, but it’s possible they push back the entire series.

Of course Fenway Park is available. Not sure how fair that would be, though. It may make even more sense to play the game at a neutral site without fans.

We’ll be sure to keep you guys updated for those of you still watching baseball.

  1. I would love for a line to be drawn in the sand

all rioters that are caught face mandatory 5 year prison sentences

so tired of rioting and “peaceful” protests

omg go to work you fucking weirdos

  2. Wouldn’t want to live in the Twin Cities at all.

It’s either let the criminals commit all the crimes they want or the police shoot a criminial and all the (probably Soros payroll) rioters come out of the woodwork to burn loot and murder.

  3. I just saw the video for the first time, the guy clearly broke out of police holding and tried to escape in a car. Why is the city burning? If he would have listened and not tried to run he would be alive today

  4. The guy had an outstanding warrant for illegal firearm possession. He knew it. The cops probably learned it too. He shoved them aside and got into his car … for what? To retrieve a weapon? To endanger others with a high-speed getaway?

Whatever the horrible mistake by the female cop, this only turns tragic because of the first 2-3 things the dead guy chose to do.

    • Correct. this is all predicated on a person who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, who chose to flee. the media can show that photo of him as a doting Dad all they want but if he would not have put himself in harm’s way he would be alive today. The cops would be out of work if guys like this acted responsibly.

  5. The riots are just an excuse to break into stores and get free shit. That, and to make white police officers and police in general look like horrible people. These morons will make a martyr out of this piece of shit. Also, never realized that Minneapolis is such a screwed up place. Must be the Somali’s Obama brought in by the thousands.
