After being down 9-0 to Marlins in the fourth inning Thursday night in DC, the Washington Nationals came back and scored 14 straight in three innings and held on to beat Miami 14-12. Early in the game, when the Marlins went up big, people started to lay into the Nationals on Twitter, with many referencing the the Nats’ reported “players-only meeting” that occurred last night after the team lost its fifth game in a row. Here’s a collection of some of the tweets burying the Nationals:
Down 9-1 to the Marlins, that Nats team meeting yesterday has REALLY paid off so far.

So much for that Nationals players-only meeting.

Personally I don’t ever boo the home team, but I understand those who are. We paid a lot of money to be here tonight and Martinez has obviously given up on trying to win tonight. #nats Remember #OnePursuit ? https://t.co/j2ET334Xet

I’m going to guess that Nationals players only meeting did not work

The Nationals next team meeting should focus on winning.

The Nats are so bad that Dwight Howard would improve their clubhouse.

Team meetings are important, but they're not as important as hitting, pitching and catching the ball.

So much for that Nats players only meeting.

Also, for fun, let’s take a look at what was being tweeted about the players-only meeting after the Nationals completed their comeback:
Well Nats fans, keep that one on tape!! Largest comeback in club history!!!! Whatever was said in that team meeting, find out what it is and use it over and over again. #nationals
