In probably the most exciting ending of the first three days of the NCAA Tournament, Michigan’s Jordan Poole hit this three pointer at the buzzer to give Michigan a 64-63 win over Houston Saturday night, sending the Wolverines to the Sweet 16.

Houston was up 63-61 with just seconds left. However the Cougars’ Devin Davis missed two free throw attempts, leading to the aforementioned Poole game winner. It was a shocking turn of events because when Davis was fouled after a Michigan missed layup with 3.9 seconds left on the clock, much of twitter was almost certain that Houston had the game in the bag. Here’s a bunch of tweets from on or around that point in the game…
I have to confess I stopped watching exclusively after the first two possessions of the second half. Kind of saw writing on the wall. Switching channels now. Choosing to remember we had a championship season no matter how this turns out.

I’ve got Michigan in my championship game and I’m not even mad. A worthy sacrifice to ensure I don’t have to watch them play anymore in this tournament.

Ouch, Michigan blows a wide open layup and is going home. Sometimes the easiest shots are the least practiced. #GoBlue

Michigan ran three consecutively terrible sets on offense. The Cougars deserved this win.
