Trump Releases Statement Calling LeBron James Racist

Former President Donald Trump had words for NBA star LeBron James on Thursday after James tweeted out a photo targeting a police officer earlier this week.

"Lebron James should focus on basketball rather than presiding over the destruction of the NBA, which has just recorded the lowest television RATINGS, by far, in the long distinguished history of the league," Trump said, per the Daily Wire. "His RACIST rants are divisive, nasty, insulting, and demeaning. He may be a great basketball player, but he is doing nothing to bring our Country together!”

James tweeted out a photo of the officer who fatally shot Ma’Khia Bryant in Ohio. The since-deleted tweet was captioned, "YOU'RE NEXT."

However, the National Fraternal Order of Police issued a statement on Thursday, claiming that the officer made the split-second decision to save another life. This statement details the event in Ohio and offers true police transparency — getting facts out before the narrative can be distorted.
