Trump Hints At 2024 Run During Visit To NYPD Precinct

Videos by OutKick

While giving an impromptu speech to New York City Police officers on the 20th anniversary of 9/11, former President Donald Trump all but gave away his intention to run for office again in 2024.

“That’s a tough question. Actually it’s an easy question. I know what I’m going to do, but we’re not supposed to be talking about it yet, from the standpoint of campaign finance laws, which frankly are ridiculous,” Trump said.

“I think you’re going to be happy.”

The bombastic businessman turned politician was speaking to a pro-Trump crowd at Manhattan’s 17th precinct on the east side, so his tone certainly suggests another run at the White House.

Trump’s attendance at the police precinct meant that he was noticeably absent from the Ground Zero memorial service in lower Manhattan, which gave leftist media a chance to jeer for old times’ sake (though they surely would have jeered at his attendance, as well). Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton all attended the formal ceremony, while George W. Bush gave remarks in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Trump’s cryptic declaration comes on the heels of another speech he gave in June in which he declared that Republicans should “look forward to 2024, or before!”
