Each Thursday, Outkick will update you on the latest polls for the 2020 Presidential election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Here are the latest polls from Real Clear Politics:

Biden is expected to name his running mate in early August. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) is the favorite.

This week, Politico bizarrely announced, in the past tense, that Biden had selected Harris; the site then deleted the post. While Politico blamed the post on a “technical error," there's speculation the site was tipped off to have the news ready when announced. Perhaps, the site wrote up the news then inadvertently published the draft instead of saving it.

Harris is deemed the safe choice for VP. Thus, her selection likely wouldn't alter the polls noticeably.
