The Jacksonville Jaguars’ first overall draft pick Trevor Lawrence visited TIAA Bank Field for the first time and snapped a few shots in the team’s Nike Vapor Untouchable uniforms.
Former Clemson quarterback and No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence arrived on Friday after being selected by the team on Thursday.
Earlier this year, the team announced the primary home uniforms would change from black to teal — and that the hashtag used to rally fans would be changing to #TealWithIt, too.
The Jags said they have worn teal jerseys 114 times and posted a 64-50 record in those games, CBS Sports reports.
They have, indeed, rocked the teal threads before, and the teal has been tied to early-franchise success. The team made the playoffs in four out of their first five seasons while reaching the AFC Championship Game twice.
The specific shade of teal has been staples of the franchise since it was founded in 1993.
