Tony Romo Takes Another Shot At Pro Golf

As if Tony Romo wasn't good at enough -- he's again giving pro golf a shot. He's now set to tee off at The Veritek Bank Championship at Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington for the Korn Ferry Tour.

He's been close to the PGA before, so it really wouldn't surprise us if he does it again. To be frank though, I don't want to see it because we need him on air.

Guy can really call a football game.

This tweet admits that Romo has never broken 70, but how often do we break 90? Golf is really hard, and when you spend over 25 years as a professional in another sport -- mastering something else becomes almost impossible. I guess you could argue Romo can afford lessons to fix a bad swing? Media would probably call that white privilege, though.

Romo had this to say about his attempt at a PGA breakthrough:

"I'm excited just to be here and the people who supported me, the fans come out and watch," Romo said.

This will be Romo's sixth pro event. Apparently he frequently plays golf with breakthrough star Will Zalatoris, and Romo was asked about his performance earlier this month:

"He is a fantastic golfer, really high level," Romo said. "He's like a little brother to me, we played a lot of golf and talked a lot. He's helped me in my game a ton."

Maybe that's what we need?

Maybe the reason we all suck at golf is because our golf buddies play a 100-yard slice. If we knew Will Zalatoris, we'd be better too. That's the story we're going with anyway.

"You know I've improved quite a bit over the last few years. I'm playing some of my best golf coming in so hopefully, I'll show that."

Well, Tony. We've all felt that before at the driving range, and the best way to say it is this: "Boys...I think I found something!"

Romo teed off earlier today, and we'll be sure to keep you guys updated.
