File this note away in your “could be something, could be nothing” folder: Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott, whose name comes up in college football head coaching carousel rumors, could be in play for the Seahawks offensive coordinator job after Brian Schottenheimer was fired, according to Josina Anderson.
I'm hearing Tony Elliott, Clemson's offensive coordinator/ running backs, may also draw some interest for the #Seahawks OC vacancy, in terms of being discussed, per source. https://t.co/jhClAZB7JH

And while I was drafting this post, ESPN personality Damien Woody said that Urban Meyer should go after Elliott to run the offense with Trevor Lawrence — the two obviously have familiarity with each other — should he finalize a deal to become the Jaguars’ head coach:
If/when they finalize this deal with Urban Meyer, I would try to get Clemson OC Tony Elliott #Jax

There sure seems to be a lot of smoke around the idea of Elliott jumping to the NFL. This development will be worth monitoring in the coming days.
