First day of school around here

My son returns to school today for the first time since mid-March and it’s definitely needed for all of us. I’ve spent the last nine years working from home, but this is the first one with four people occupying one floor of the house most of the day. I love my family, but let’s be honest here, it’s time for the second grader to get back to a school routine and for some quiet days around here. It’ll also be nice to get the TV back during the middle of the day.

This morning I was thinking about NFL training camps and whether I miss training camp coverage like it was pre-COVID. One of my guiltiest pleasures in life is going to Cleveland Browns camp and people watching even though I’m a Bengals fan. However, I don’t really miss the preseason games other than missing out on the Screencaps material. I think we can all agree the preseason could be reduced to two games in the future and we’ll all be OK.

Before we get to Caps, let’s get a Florio positivity update. I’ve lost track of how many days in a row Mike’s gone positive, but they’re adding up. The COVID-19 data keeps rolling in and it continues to be very good.

  1. Great stuff, hell of a bowler and man that Big Ern!

My Son is in 2nd grade as well. 2 days per week with about 15 minutes worth of assigned work for the other 3 days combined. Found out last night that although the kids have to wear masks all day including after school activities, the teachers are NOT wearing them. Well done teachers union, showing us once again that your comfort and interests always come before the children’s.
