Tom Brady Sends An Apology Text To Tyrann Mathieu After Super Bowl

It's been an ongoing saga since Tampa Bay QB Tom Brady and Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu were clearly seen jarring at one another after the Bucs went up 21-6 late in the second quarter of Super Bowl LV.

Mathieu made a claim after the game that Brady called him something that the safety "won't repeat," and he put out a tweet about it, which he later deleted.

“He called me something I won’t repeat,” Mathieu said on Twitter, “but yeah I’ll let all the media throw me under the bus as if I did something or said something to him.

“Go back to my previous games against TB12 I showed him nothing but respect. Look at my interviews about him… I show grace.”

Brady seemed to be shaken by the claim made by Mathieu, and TMZ reports that the quarterback sent a text message to Mathieu after the Bucs' 31-9 win, apologizing for the exchange during the game.

While neither Brady nor Mathieu has said exactly what Mathieu "won't repeat," TMZ says that the quarterback was very complimentary towards the safety, saying that he is an incredible leader on the field.

After the game, Mathieu seemed to calm down regarding Brady and even said that the incident was just a part of the game.

"It's football," Mathieu said. "Guys are gonna go back and forth.

Brady took home the game's MVP award Sunday, winning his 7th Super Bowl, which is more than any franchise in the entire NFL.
