Tom Brady Jokes About Defenders During ManningCast

This just in: Tom Brady does not respect the IQ of defensive players.

Yes, we figured as much, as he has lit up the league's best for over 20 years, but he confirmed as much on ESPN's "ManningCast" during Monday Night Football. Brady joked about the intelligence of defensive players, before breaking it down with a great analogy.

"Have you ever been in some of those defensive meeting rooms? You wonder why they play defense and after about two minutes you go, ‘Yep they could never be an offensive player," Brady said. "Defense is kinda like a dog chasing a car. Just get the guy with the ball."

Brady's dig at defensive players drew a reaction from a host of former players, including former teammate Tedy Bruschi. The legendary Patriots linebacker joked on Twitter that he was no longer Brady's friend after the comment.

Brady might be joking, but defenses still have no idea how to stop Brady at age 44. Brady is still at the mountain top, pacing the NFL with 21 touchdowns and 2,275 passing yards, leading the Buccaneers to a 6-1 record.
