Todd Gurley Accidentally Scores TD to Set Up Lions Comeback Win

Todd Gurley, who once famously went down before the goal line and cost a Rams cover, wanted to do the same today against the Lions but instead stumbled into the end zone before he could go down:

At the time, there was 1:04 remaining. and the Lions were leading 16-14. If Gurley had gone down, Atlanta could have run more time off the clock and set up a chip shot field goal for the win. While the Falcons got the two-point conversion to make the score 22-16, Matthew Stafford led a touchdown drive culminating in a pass to tight end TJ Hockenson. The extra point gave them the win, 23-22. The Lions are now 3-3.
