TNF: Week 15 betting picks - Chargers at Raiders

Tonight's primetime game features a historic AFC West rivalry. The Las Vegas Raiders host the Los Angeles Chargers, and we've got tonight's best bets to help guide you to extra cash!

The Raiders come into tonight desperately needing a win to stay alive in the Wild Card hunt, while the Chargers get to play spoiler against their biggest rival. We've got a good beat on the game as well as some player props, so stick around until the end for those. You can lock in all of these picks via our sports betting partner, FanDuel Sportsbook.

New Users: Bet $5 on Justin Herbert to throw one or more touchdowns tonight and if it wins, you pocket $75! This is a no-brainer prop bet, as Herbert has thrown for at least one touchdown in 11 of 12 games. Valid for new users only in CO, IL, IN, NJ, PA, TN, and WV.

As a disclaimer, bet at your own risk and only what you're comfortable losing. The odds are subject to change by kickoff.

So, without further ado, here's our best bet:

Over 53.5

Points. Points. And more points.

Tonight's impending bloodbath has OVER written all over it. And yes, we're hammering it.

The Raiders are an enigma. One week, they look like a threat to make a deep playoff run. The next, they're playing like bottom feeders. They've lost three of their last four games, while the Chargers reinvent ways to lose weekly. In short, we're not comfortable with taking either side.

One thing remains constant for both squads: They give and take A LOT of points.

They crushed their total during their first meeting in Week 9, combining for 57 points (and it would've been more if the Chargers didn't Charger on the last play of the game.) You can pretty safely expect the same tonight with the weather a non-factor in the domed Allegiant Stadium.

In sports betting, we look for trends and stick with them until they end. The Raiders and the over has proven to be one of the safest bets in the NFL this season.

Las Vegas has gone over their total at a near 70% clip, thanks to a potent offense and an equally soft defense. In last week's game vs. Indianapolis, the two teams eclipsed the over by 19 points. Indianapolis put up 44 of those points, and the Raiders fired defensive coordinator Paul Guenther after the game.

There's a ton of value on the Chargers' end, too. They've gone under in their last three games but played in seven-straight over games before that. Facing a familiar foe, Justin Herbert & Co. should have no problem moving the ball and scoring points against one of the league's worst defenses. In their first meeting, Herbert threw for 326 yards and two touchdowns.

Both teams are immensely banged up on defense. The Raiders will be without safety Johnathan Abram, defensive end Clelin Ferrell, cornerback Damon Arnette, and linebacker Nicholas Morrow. The Chargers have an extensive injury list of their own.

Take the over with confidence.

Player Props

If you're not following us on Twitter, you should (@OutKickBets). We've been nailing our player props lately. Props, of course, via the good folks at the FanDuel Sportsbook.

Here are our picks for tonight:

Austin Ekeler over 5.5 Receptions (-110) - Since his return from injury, he's had games of 16, 9, and 9 targets. The opportunity is there, and Herbert checks down to him a ton.

Anytime TD: Darren Waller (-115) - LA has surprisingly found ways to cover Waller well over the past two seasons. Still, the Raiders tight end is coming off a massive performance, and the Chargers' linebackers are banged up. This is a good spot.

Anytime TD: Austin Ekeler (-105) - Ekeler missed their first meeting this season but will play a huge role in the Chargers' offensive game plan tonight. He had 15 carries and 9 receptions last week, giving us a good indication he'll get plenty of chances tonight.

Best of luck to you all!
