There are yards that leave Thursday Night Mowing League members in tears and then there’s this house in Webster, NY (just east of Rochester) featuring a mini-golf course that has my full attention. The house went up for sale June 24 with a $299,900 asking price and went ‘pending’ on June 29 because someone in that part of the country clearly understood this is one of those opportunities in life you just can’t pass up.
We’re talking about a 2,000 sq. ft. house with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a basement work room, above-ground swimming pool, a classy first floor open floor plan for the wife, bright paint on the walls and what appears to be 18 holes to tackle outside on nearly an acre of property.
And notice how the neighbors are TNML members. Look at those stripes! I’m not looking to move to the shores of Lake Ontario, but if I were, this house would be mine yesterday.
“**BUYER’S CHOICE to keep course OR have seller return to standard yard**,” the Zillow listing states.
I have set an alert for this house. It’s going to be heartbreaking if a new owner comes in and rips out the bunkers, cuts the rough and lets the greens grow out. I’m talking gut-wrenching to see something like that happen.
Think of all the guys nights you could have in your own yard. Think of couples putting challenges. Think of the bourbon tastings, cigar smoking and chipping contests. Yes, the yard is work, but this is what TNML members have been training their entire lives for. A fresh cut Thursday night and then three straight days of golfing action. Your wife will stop worrying about those six-hour rounds.
Now imagine stepping onto the first tee box and iHeart 80s starts pumping Eddie Money’s “Think I’m In Love” across the course speaker system.
This is heaven.

That is awesome!! But I’m sure the upkeep of the mini-course is a LOT of work.
I wonder what is the annual landscaping budget?
An above ground doughboy pool that’s trailer park stuff lol
That guy has to have AT LEAST three different mowers. He can’t have a job because mowing the yard is a full time job.
