Hank Aaron, one of the most beloved professional athletes of the 20th Century, died Friday at the age of 86. On top of retiring as MLB’s home run king (a distinction many still grant to him because of how Barry Bonds passed him), Aaron had a sense of humor that was magnetic.

I had never seen that clip before. The twinkle in his eye when he laughed off not making it to the White House in time to be greeted by Richard Nixon is truly fantastic.
GREAT VIDEO! π
That’s funny.
RIP to the Home Run King!
A great hitter and a class act all the way.
RIP Home Run King.
That’s awesome. I assume Nixon was on his way out shortly after the call. π
RIP Hammerin Hank. Class act all the way
Saw it with my own eyes. Long live Hammerin Hank!
