The NFL Plans To Ramp Up The Woke In 2021

Are you jonesing for more woke out of the NFL? Your dream will soon come true. The league plans to add more social justice messaging to fields, helmets, and to its pregame activities, according to Front Office Sports, which reports it's all part of a 10-year, $250 commitment to "combat systemic racism." The site reports that the league will push social justice messaging via "on-field signage, decals on player helmets, and in-stadium PSAs."

It gets better. The league also plans to make the black national anthem "a prominent part of all big league events." In Sept. 2020, the NFL used a video of Alicia Keys singing "Lift Every Voice and Sing" at stadiums around the league. Then, at the Super Bowl, the league ran another video of Keys singing. Will singers perform the song on NFL fields in 2021? The NFL doesn't seem to be indicating what the plan is.

It also sounds like the NFL will bring back its Instagram nonsense where the league highlights people like Althea Bernstein, the woman who claimed she was attacked with lighter fluid and set on fire June 24, 2020. By October, the NFL Instagram page profiled Bernstein as part of its 'Inspire Change - Say Her Name' program.

The only problem? The Department of Justice announced in early October that it couldn't find evidence of Bernstein being attacked. There was no traffic camera evidence. No surveillance evidence. No Ring evidence. Nothing. Zero. The DOJ closed the case, and Bernstein's legal team quietly went away without challenging the investigation results.

THEY DIDN'T EVEN CHALLENGE THE DOJ. BERNSTEIN'S TEAM WENT AWAY.

And yet the NFL went ahead and made the woman part of 'Say Her Name.'

Now the league wants everyone to know it's going further with the woke. We're talking woke on PEDs. We're talking an "Inspire Change" theme during Week 17-18, FOS reports. "End Racism" in the end zone will be back. "Inspire Change" isn't going anywhere.

And then comes the huge moneyshot -- the black anthem before the league's official kickoff on Thursday September 9. The league will play "Lift Every Voice and Sing" as part of the night's festivities.

Perhaps Roger Goodell and the NFL will hire Macy Gray so she and her newly designed American flag can walk out there to the middle of Raymond James Stadium to make things all better in this country.
