The Mets players are, again, dropping like flies to the injured list. It made us realize that they might be able to win a World Series with their fallen unit. Obviously we wish them the best in their recovery because this is brutal…
Mets now on the injured list:

Michael Conforto
Jeff McNeil
J.D. Davis
Luis Guillorme
Carlos Carrasco
Noah Syndergaard
Seth Lugo
Jacob deGrom
Dellin Betances
Albert Almora
José Martínez
Brandon Nimmo
Okay, some of these guys haven’t contributed to winning baseball in years, but they’re still recognizable names. And the Mets are somehow in first place, while the Braves deal with the injury bug themselves.
Braves’ star Ronald Acuna Jr. is the day-to-day king right now, but the New York Mets are just plain tragic.
At least Francisco Lindor has managed to stay on the field (*knocks on wood*). Now all he’s got to do is master being good at baseball again. If that $341 million investment doesn’t start paying off soon, then the Mets will almost certainly fall down in the standings.
News: Michael Conforto is likely heading to the injured list today after yesterday’s hamstring injury, although the #Mets have yet to make a formal decision. @MLBNetwork @MLB

The Mets plan to place Jacob deGrom on the 10-day IL with right side tightness.

Despite an IL stint, the injury is not deemed overly serious: “Not a lot of panic over this in Mets Land at this time”
