The Masters Will Have Some Fans This Year

We are in a bit of a wonky spot with The Masters because it just happened a couple months ago, and will return to its normal spot in early April. It is low-key just around the corner. This week, The Masters announced that they will allow an unspecified number of spectators.

“Following the successful conduct of the Masters Tournament last November with only essential personnel, we are confident in our ability to responsibly invite a limited number of patrons to Augusta National in April,” Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley said. “As with the November Masters, we will implement practices and policies that will protect the health and safety of everyone in attendance. Nothing is, or will be, more important than the well-being of all involved. While we are disappointed that we will be unable to accommodate a full complement of patrons this year, we will continue our efforts to ensure that all who purchased tickets from Augusta National will have access in 2022, provided conditions improve.”

In normal years, The Masters does not announce attendance, but it's been estimated that around 40,000 spectators gather there each day. It will be interesting to see the extent to which capacity is limited this year, but it will nonetheless be nice to see some fans in attendance.
