The Main Event For The Next WWE Event In Saudi Arabia Appears To Be Official

The WWE has already announced that they will be making their return to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this October for another 'Crown Jewel' event.

The company confirmed plans for the event, officially making the announcement during SummerSlam.

'Crown Jewel' usually turns into one of the bigger events on the WWE calendar, though it isn't always popular. In November of 2018, Triple H and Shawn Michaels took on The Undertaker and Kane. If you go back and watch this match, you'll know why the company almost didn't go back.

Then in 2019, Brock Lesnar defended his WWE Championship against Cain Velasquez. The match lasted 1:28 before a tap out.

Many fans also don't like the company having such big matches in the middle of the day.

Hopefully, things are more entertaining in 2021. Rumors about what the big match will be this time have already begun to spread.

Dirt sheets are reporting there will be a WWE title rematch between Bobby Lashely and Goldberg.

During a bout in SummerSlam, Lashley attacked Goldberg's teenage son, Gage, who jumped in the ring. Lashley then put Gage in a full-nelson. Goldberg got back in the ring and started to scream at Lashley, a clear indication that this feud is far from over.

WWE recently released a video stating that Goldberg suffered from ligament damage and is due to undergo surgery, but this is likely to be a storyline injury rather than a legitimate medical concern.

“Well, I got ligament damage and I have an impending knee surgery,” Goldberg said when asked about what happened at SummerSlam and the extent of his injury.

“Does that answer your question? I really don’t care. But what I do care about is that dirty son of a bitch Bobby Lashley, and what he did to my son at SummerSlam.

“I just left the house, Gage’s shoulder is all jacked up, his neck hurts. God knows what a dude that size could’ve done to my son. So, the objective has changed. I’m not coming for the WWE Championship, I’m coming for Bobby Lashley’s soul, and I will rip it straight from his chest.”

So while most of the WWE universe really couldn't care less about Goldberg, he continues to get chances for these one-off matches, likely because he often makes at least a million each time.

Ask any wrestling fan whether he would rather see Lashley and Goldberg or Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, and Roman/Brock would win in a landslide. Which is why they will likely be the headline for next year's WrestleMania.
