3) Previously unranked, Indiana jumped all the way up to no. 17 after beating Penn State, their first win over a team ranked in the AP top 10 since 1987. Penn State fell from no. 8 to no. 18.

4) Wisconsin jumped from no. 14 to no. 9 after Graham Mertz was hugely impressive in his debut in a blowout victory over Illinois. Elsewhere in the Big Ten, Michigan beat Minnesota and jumped from no. 18 to no. 13.

5) Teams that are in the top 25 this week but were not last week: Boise State, Oklahoma, and, as we mentioned, Indiana.

  1. This years natty will always have an asterisk mark next to it. The most ridiculous arguments ever will evolve from how the season was won. only one fanbase will care and the rest will simply point and giggle. It is fun however to see the smaller schools take out the conference giants early.
