The KD-Kyrie Brooklyn Nets Put On A Show In The First Half Against Golden State

After just 24 minutes of 2020 Brooklyn Nets basketball, it's clear that the Kevin Durant/Kyrie Irving duo will be deadly. Brooklyn leads the Warriors 63-45 with KD and Kyrie responsible for 36 of those points. The pair have beautiful chemistry so far, which should concern the rest of the Eastern Conference.

Must've been the Sage.

Did we mention that KD looks like his old self? Tearing an Achilles is a recovery toss-up, but Durant looks to have healed just fine.

Irving had 24 points and just one assist. But when you go 9 of 13 from field, there's no sensible reason to dish the rock, is there? This game could have been a bit of a trap for Brooklyn as the Golden State Warriors are without Klay Thompson. Steph Curry has been his usual self, but after Thompson's season-ending Achilles tear, Steph has nowhere to pass the ball.

The Brooklyn Nets also have a deep bench with Caris LaVert and Spencer Dinwiddie leading the charge. To be clear, those guys started for the Nets last year and they made the playoffs. Now they come off the bench as a dessert after Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Sheesh.

Brooklyn has proven to be too much for the ailing Warriors tonight, but it remains to be seen what their conference rivals will do. Not sure what Celtics' coach Brad Stevens or Doc Rivers' 76ers do to counter this roster. If Brooklyn continues to play like this, or anything close to this, there's not much that anyone can do.

Outside of LeBron, of course.
