The Houston Rockets Wish Russell Westbrook A Happy Birthday One Day After He Requests To Be Traded

Rockets' star Russell Westbrook requested a trade yesterday, but apparently no one told the intern running the Twitter account. Just one day after he requested the trade, the official Houston Rockets Twitter account responded by wishing their disgruntled star a happy birthday. That would normally be a classy move, but this tweet is about as tone deaf as Iggy Azalea.

Just yesterday, reports surfaced that Westbrook questioned the leadership and accountability in Houston. He practically insulted everything about the team, from top to bottom, and they still issued the tweet. If you dump your girlfriend the day before your birthday, you can't expect her to wish you well on your big day. But the Rockets apparently had too much to drink this morning and did it anyway.

No update yet on where Westbrook ends up, but executives expect some action during the Nov. 18 NBA Draft. Looks like this one-way relationship is finally coming to an end. Let's just hope someone takes the time to inform the intern.
