The Chicago White Sox Have Parted Ways With Rick Renteria, Do They Have A Master Plan?

Manager Rick Renteria and the Chicago White Sox have agreed to part ways, making the White Sox the number 1 landing spot for all available managers. Coaches like A.J. Hinch and Alex Cora immediately come to mind. How likely are either of these guys to be hired? Bread crumbs from White Sox Twitter might be giving it away.

Check out White Sox starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel's tweet that came just a few hours after Renteria's dismissal:

That's a player that knows a game-changing hire is on the way. If your ex tweeted heart eyes 15 minutes after you broke up, she already has your replacement in mind. Alex Cora and A.J. Hinch are not only the leading candidates, their "cheating" legacies may already be forgotten.

The Houston Astros have once again made it to the ALCS, validating the legitimate accomplishments of everyone involved in the scandals. Now the Astros seem like they can compete at the highest level, which helps the image of their former manager A.J. Hinch. A manager has to be accepted by the fan base, so Chicago is paying close attention to fan perception of these managers.

Big things ARE ahead

Chicago has one of the the most exciting teams to watch, mostly because of their youth. Between Tim Anderson pimping homers, Lucas Giolito's no-hitters and up-and-coming star Nick Madrigal, any manager would be lucky to land this job. Whoever's hired is about to have a true Pursuit Of Happyness/Will Smith moment.

With the expected return of flame-thrower Michael Kopech, the Sox have a loaded pitching staff. Even more exciting is the fact that they have money to spend.

With an estimated payroll of just $136 million, GM Rick Hahn is expected to be aggressive this offseason. What manager wouldn't want to sign a long-term contract with a franchise just out of the starting gate? The Chicago White Sox are a 21-year-old Usain Bolt looking for a trainer. A.J. Hinch and Alex Cora should practically race to put pen to paper.

One last tweets should get fans excited:

It's only a matter of time.
