Texans QB Watson Sends Out Cryptic Tweet Touting Having 'Patience'

Another day, another story about Houston Texans quarterback DeShaun Watson. Watson remains in the news way too often for a quarterback who is out of the playoffs and under a long term deal with his current team.

But Watson's off-the-field story remains in the headlines nonetheless. Today's latest news has to do with the quarterback issuing a tweet about having "patience."

While we shouldn't read too much into a tweet, fans and people around the league are desperate to learn the fate of the Houston QB. Many therefore speculate wildly about anything and everything he says.

The chatter insists that Watson doesn't want to be with the Texans anymore, that he wants to be traded since the team didn't involve him in their search for a GM and head coach.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported there was a “growing sense” that Watson has played his last down for the Texans.

If the Texans and Watson can't find common ground, it's just a matter of time before Houston does find a trading partner and gets rid of their franchise QB.

Last year, Watson signed a four-year deal with the Texans worth a massive $156 million, but moving such a high-profile player isn't just difficult because of his cap amount. He also wants to be sure he lands in a good spot with a competitive team.

There's a couple of teams that reportedly have interest in Watson, including the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers.
