Take The 'Where's Whitmer?' On A Florida Beach Challenge

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who lectured citizens of her state about taking spring break trips to Florida, has finally come clean about her March trip to Florida to visit her elderly father and that revelation has created a new game: 'Where's Whitmer?'

'Where's Whitmer?' is based off the Where's Waldo? children's books that became wildly popular in the 1990s. The Whitmer-inspired game is simple: find Gretchen on a packed Florida beach where people are living freely.

Whitmer's team said this week that the governor "did not go on spring break" and that she was in Florida to assist her elderly father. That was nice of her to make a trip to Florida to make sure her father is OK and to spend some time with him. That's called being a responsible adult, something that she sure hasn't allowed other adults to do much of over the last 13 months.

Now here it is April 2021, and Whitmer finds herself in a position where she's asking people to take a two-week voluntary break from dining indoors instead of just closing down indoor dining. Why the huge shift from Whitmer who didn't think twice about closing up the state a year ago? Her support has been slipping since September, and Michigan political observers believe it's clearly related to COVID fatigue.

And what do we do when things get exhaustive? The smart move is a change of scenery. Perhaps a trip to Florida to soak up some sunshine? Gretchen's best move here is to take another trip to Florida and say, "You know what? It felt amazing to take a walk with my father and enjoy some amazing weather. You're damn right I enjoyed it ,and all Americans should get out and soak up some fresh air and clear their heads a little bit. I really needed that."

But no, she has wokes to keep happy and elections to win.
