The official Twitter page for NFL officiating just tweeted out the crew for Super Bowl LV and we don’t recognize a single name on the list.
Hallelujah.
The #SBLV crew:

• Carl Cheffers (R)
• Fred Bryan (U)
• Sarah Thomas (DJ)
• Rusty Baynes (LJ)
• James Coleman (FJ)
• Eugene Hall (SJ)
• Dino Paganelli (BJ)
• Mike Wimmer (RO)

On paper, this means none of the crew made headlines for wrecking NFC championship games or being anything like the officials in Super Bowl XL for Steelers-Seahawks in 2006. NFL officials are usually recognizable because of their uncanny abilities to make football games about them, instead of the talent on field.
A fresh group of faces we’ll grow to hate eventually, but a fresh start is probably what we need right about now in the NFL.
Referee Carl Cheffers has been officiating in the NFL since 2000 and we haven’t heard much about him. And yes, we know some of you can point one or two referees out in this bunch that screwed your favorite team out of a win week 10.
Cheers to a clean Super Bowl that can feel remotely satisfying.
Sarah the first broad making history gotta cover that base but what about the transgender don’t see any representation there that’s not fair i mean come on man
