Super Bowl Odds Update From OddsShark

The Minnesota Vikings have the second-best odds of any team to win Super Bowl 52 behind only the defending NFL champion New England Patriots, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Vikings are listed at +375 (bet $100 to win $375) while the Patriots are the favorites at +200, although this weekend’s divisional playoff action could shake up the top of the board if there are more upsets.

Last week, the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons both pulled off upsets as road underdogs in the wild card round, with the latter now favored against the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles in their NFC matchup on Saturday.

The defending NFC champion Falcons are also the +700 fifth choice to win the Super Bowl ahead of the Eagles, who are +1400 despite earning home-field advantage because veteran journeyman Nick Foles is replacing the injured MVP candidate Carson Wentz under center. Foles is currently in his second tour of duty as the starter in Philly and has been underwhelming at best so far.

The Titans are the longest shots to win the Super Bowl at +5000 because they are visiting New England on Saturday night and would need to pull off an even bigger upset to advance to the AFC Championship Game.

If Tennessee was to shock the world, the team would then be a big road dog again versus the Pittsburgh Steelers or Jacksonville Jaguars. The Steelers are the +500 third choice to win Super Bowl 52 and play host to the Jaguars (+1800) early Sunday in a rematch of a Week 5 meeting they lost badly.

A Pittsburgh-New England rematch in the AFC Championship Game seems to be a foregone conclusion, but the two best teams in the NFC might be taking the field in Minneapolis this Sunday. The New Orleans Saints are the +550 fourth choice to win the Super Bowl, and they hope to keep the Vikings from participating in the big game on their home field with an upset at U.S. Bank Stadium.

If New Orleans and Atlanta both find a way to win on the road, then the Saints would host the NFC Championship Game.
