Woman Who Accused Trevor Bauer Of Sexual Assault Charged With Felony Extortion Against Bauer

A Grand Jury in Maricopa County in Arizona charged a woman named Darcy Adanna Esemonu with two counts of felony "fraud and theft by extortion" against former Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer and another man.

Esemonu allegedly lied to Bauer about being pregnant in an attempt to defraud him. She then accused Bauer of sexual assault, for which he was never charged.

On Tuesday, Bauer uploaded a five-minute video during which he displayed text messages and emails regarding his accuser:

For background: two women brought forth legal action in the last three years against Bauer, claiming sexual assault. The first was a woman named Lindsey Hill

Ring a bell?

Last October, Bauer and Hill dropped civil suits against one another. Hours later, Bauer posted a video where he read aloud text messages between Hill and her friends, one in which she admits to a ploy to frame the former pitcher.

Bauer narrated Hill's text messages, from 2021, as follows:

"'Next victim. Star pitcher for the Dodgers,' a text Lindsay Hill sent to a friend before she ever even met me," Bauer explained. "'What should I steal?' She asked another in reference to visiting my house for the first time. The answer? ‘Take his money.’ So how might that work? 'I'm going to his house Wednesday,' she said. ‘I already have my hooks in. You know how I roll.’ Then after the first time we met. ‘Net worth is 51 [million]’, she said. ‘B*tch, you better secure the bag.’ Was a response."

"But how is she going to do that? ‘Need Daddy to choke me out, she said, being an absolute whore to try to get in on his 51 million,' read another text. Then after the second time we met, former Padres pitcher Jacob Nicks told her, ‘You got to get this bag.’ 'I'll give you 50,000,' Lindsay replied. Her sponsor asked her at one point, ‘Do you feel a tiny bit guilty?’ ‘Not really,’ she replied."

Bauer says Hill set him up, lied about him, and sought to take his money. And, per the indictment against Esemonu, she followed Hill's lead.

According to the text messages in the video above, he had one sexual encounter with Esemonu in December 2020. She initiated the contact. She sent him a text the next morning, explaining why she "came on to him."

He says she "repeatedly" asked to sleep with him again in the months following the encounter, even sending the two texts below:

Bauer says after Esemonu learned of Lindsey Hill's false allegations against him, she started to make "seven-figure demands."

"Esemonu then demanded 3.6 million dollars from me [after Hill's lawsuit] and claimed I forced her to have an abortion, leaving her ‘emotionally damaged,'" explained Bauer.

However, Bauer provided medical records below that corroborate Esemonu was "never pregnant."

Bauer continues:

"When I refused to pay her the $3.6 million she was asking for, she made up some bogus sexual assault claim and filed a civil suit against me. She [now] claims she had a miscarriage instead of an abortion. But, again, she was never actually pregnant."

Two separate law firms dropped Esemonu after she failed to supply evidence of her claims against Bauer:

Trevor Bauer provided photo proof of his claims. Esemonu did not. She, not him, has been charged.

Darcy Adanna Esemonu and Lindsay Hill cost Bauer his career in MLB in 2021. No team has since signed him. His major league career is likely over. His reputation is infinitely fractured, despite pages of available evidence proving his innocence.
