Stephen A. Smith, Charles Barkley Rip 'Woke Culture' For Immigration Crisis

It’s not just conservatives who want more law and order and a stronger border in our country. Stephen A. Smith and Charles Barkley want those things as well.

On Friday’s episode of "The Stephen A. Smith Show," the two discussed the disastrous state of our southern border, which has led to dangerous criminals committing heinous crimes against Americans.

"First of all, the border is a joke. The border is a joke. They have these migrants bussed up to New York. They have them on camera kicking and beating cops. They beat up these two cops," Barkley said. "They were out of jail in 24 hours. Two days later, they caught them robbing Macy's. They beat up cops. How are you out of jail in 24 hours?"

Barkley wasn’t making that story up. In January, migrants beat up a pair of NYPD cops and faced no punishment whatsoever.

Surprisingly, Smith didn’t criticize Barkley’s comments as insensitive or Xenophobic. Instead, he ripped woke ideology for allowing stuff like this to happen.

"But it's woke culture. With woke culture, you have folks on the left endorsing a more lenient legal system," Smith said.

Smith And Barkley Don't Like How Immigrants Are Given Preferential Treatment Over Americans

Barkley added on to Smith’s train of thought by pushing against the progressive viewpoint that enforcing justice is a form of inequality.

"We need law and order, Stephen A.," Barkley said. "Trying to fix inequalities has nothing to do with letting people go in stores and rob people."

Smith then highlighted how America’s unprecedented efforts to help migrants succeed after crossing the border shows that our country doesn’t care about helping American citizens first.

"How about the $53 million in prepaid credit cards for migrants?" Smith said. "Black folks and Latinos been in the streets. Minorities have been in the streets, homeless, and starving for years. We never got, I never got anything like that. I grew up on welfare."

Both of these men hold a lot of progressive viewpoints on a variety of cultural issues. But if even they are able to see that wokeness has caused a lot of problems in the migrant crisis, you know things have gotten out of hand.
