Social Media Buries LSU's Hailey Van Lith For Dreadful Elite-8 Performance In Loss To Iowa
Anyone expecting LSU's Hailey Van Lith to play a good game against Iowa watched in pure disgust Monday night.
A shell of Hailey Van Lith appeared in a 94-87 loss in Albany against the top-seeded Hawkeyes.
The former Louisville star might've actually made a mistake by joining the reigning champion LSU Tigers. Joining the Tigers siphoned the talent — nay, confidence — out of Van Lith.
Unable to play a lick of defense against the exceptional Caitlin Clark, not to mention the turnovers, Van Lith became the talk of X (formerly Twitter) for all the wrong reasons.
A simple jab step from Clark and Van Lith opens up the lane immediately to let Clark in for a layup.
It's just not her night … nor is it LSU's night as they get pummeled by Clark's shooting from long range.
Social media buried Hailey Van Lith for her performance.

Barring a miraculous comeback, Van Lith will be sorely remembered after this tournament by audiences wondering what the heck happened to the one-time college hoops star.
