North Carolina State Professor Pulls Ultimate Bro Move After Wolfpack Beat Duke

A North Carolina State professor might be the coolest guy of the week, and he didn't even play a single minute against Duke.

Fans of the Wolfpack are probably still celebrating and chasing a beer buzz after North Carolina State upset Duke Sunday night to advance to the Final Four.

It was an epic game that will go down in history and never be forgotten by North Carolina State fans. When there's a watershed moment for a program, you have to party.

Those are the rules, and professor Matthew Bryant was happy to help.

North Carolina State professor delays exam after Duke win.

Matthew Bryant, a professor in the department of mechanical and aerospace engineering (dude must be smart as all hell), was asked if an exam scheduled for Monday could be moved because a student was too "lit" from partying.

Bryant obliged and emailed his class announcing that the test will now happen on Wednesday. That should give everyone plenty of time to sober up.

Check out the awesome email Bryant sent below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

The word "hero" is often overused, but in terms of sports and academics, I think it definitely applies to Professor Matthew Bryant.

It's been more than four decades since North Carolina State last went to the Final Four. That was multiple generations ago.

Yet, the Wolfpack are still dancing, and the students in Raleigh are partying after experiencing something they probably never thought would happen.

Bryant could have held the exam as scheduled or he could make himself a legend. He chose the latter, and has proven he's one of the good guys.

What an absolute bro. He's down for the boys for sure.

Fun fact: I had a final in college canceled that was scheduled for the day after SEAL Team 6 killed Osama bin Laden. The campus was on fire and we drank enough Coors Banquet to kill a horse. No apologies. It was for America, and Professor Bryant now pulled a similar move for his students. I reached out to him, and will update with any comment I receive. In the meantime, raise a toast to this awesome dude!
