Peyton Manning Reportedly Cooking Up Potential Bill Belichick/Nick Saban Manningcast-Style Show

Peyton Manning reportedly is attempting to bring the two greatest football coaches together for a show.

Manning's entertainment company - Omaha Productions - is taking a serious run at signing Bill Belichick following the former Patriots coach failing to land a new head coaching job, according to Andrew Marchand at the Athletic.

However, signing Belichick might just be the start for Manning and Omaha Productions. The grand plan might be getting him to team up with Nick Saban to replicate the success of the "Manningcast."

Marchand reported the following for The Athletic:

"If Manning were to sign Belichick, the idea of teaming with ESPN to create a Belichick and Nick Saban ‘Manningcast' is expected to be broached, according to officials briefed on the plans. Saban, considered by many the greatest college football coach of all time, joined ESPN’s "College GameDay" after retiring from Alabama. (ESPN/Omaha could call it the 'GOAT Cast.’)

Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions reportedly targeting Bill Belichick.

I guess this idea was so obvious that I'm surprised it hasn't been discussed more often. Belichick teaming up with Nick Saban for a Manningcast-style football broadcast is a golden idea.

Saban is the greatest college football coach in the history of the sport. He won seven national titles and turned Alabama into the greatest dynasty in the history of the sport.

Bill Belichick won six rings in the NFL and built the most powerful dynasty the league had ever seen with the New England Patriots.

Saban retired on his own accord and Belichick was pushed out the door by the Patriots and failed to land a new job. He might as well link up with his former assistant. However, it would be very different from the Manningcast in terms of tone and style.

Peyton and Eli Manning are both hilarious guys. They're natural entertainers on top of being former NFL players. Saban has some charisma. Belichick does not. He's very dry. The broadcast would have to be heavily focused on football above all else. It would still be captivating, but just in a different way.

Will Manning get the job done and give people what they want? Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
