Johnny Manziel Shares Scorching Hot Take On Party Habits

Johnny Manziel believed the key to his success at Texas A&M……..was hitting the bottle.

Manziel won the Heisman during his first year as the starter with the Aggies, and the legend of Johnny Football is something every college football fan knows.

The man simply terrorized SEC defenses. He was shifty, elusive, had a great arm and was simply a ton of fun to watch. Manziel was like backyard football coming to life on the biggest stage in college sports.

Was his incredible success due to hitting the weights? Watching film? Practicing more than anyone else? Nope. He believed at the time his incredible partying skills translated to putting up huge numbers.

"I felt like the harder I partied, the better I played," Manziel told Shannon Sharpe in a now-viral interview. The former Texas A&M superstar said he'd try to sweat it out by hitting his Friday walk-through "hard."

Johnny Manziel opens up about partying.

I really have to give Shannon Sharpe a lot of credit. His interview with Johnny Manizel is the best interview the former QB has ever done.

The entire thing is worth watching. He opened up about drug use, flaming out of the NFL, his unbelievable rise in the world of college football and everything else you can imagine.

It's 100% worth your time, and soundbites like this are incredible. The man thought he played better the more he partied. He must be a different breed. I'm definitely not able to function at a high level if I'm hungover (sorry, mom!), and I'm sure many of you are the same way.

The man was boozing it up and tearing up the SEC at the same time. It's honestly incredible, and it really makes you wonder what could have happened if Manziel had gotten sober. There's no doubt he could have had a lengthy career in the NFL.

Instead, he flamed out as he struggled with significant issues off the field.

Hopefully, Manziel continues to give interviews because he's really interesting to hear talk. I was captivated by every moment of his Sharpe interview. Let me know your thoughts on Manziel at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
