ESPN Brutally Roasts P.K. Subban's Outfit, Compares It To Grandma's Couch

P. K. Subban has a knack for dressing well for his appearances on ESPN’s hockey broadcasts. But Sunday afternoon, his attempt to look dapper completely backfired.

ESPN’s crew was in the studio providing coverage of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Florida Panthers and the New York Rangers. For the occasion, Subban wore a tan plaid outfit to work. By his standards, that was a fairly tame choice of attire.

But the producers for ESPN decided to have some fun at Subban’s expense because of his clothing. They whipped up a graphic that compared his suit to the design you might see on your grandmother’s living room couch.

Quite frankly, I can see why the suit inspired the graphic.

Subban responded by saying that the haters are going to hate, but he’s not going to win this one. It literally does look like he cut off the cover of Grandma Subban’s sofa and turned it into a blazer and pants.

Fans got it on ESPN’s joke and roasted him for the striking similarity.

Fortunately for Subban, this choke will probably get buried in obscurity thanks to the thrilling outcome of the game itself. For the second matchup in a row this series, the game went into overtime, where the Rangers emerged with a 5-4 victory thanks to a goal from Alex Wennberg.

But just to play it safe, Subban should choose a suit that looks less like furniture next time.
