Lions Veteran Pours Emotional Praise On Dan Campbell

Frank Ragnow has nothing but high praise for Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell.

Campbell has been facing serious criticism for his decisions during the 34-31 NFC Championship loss to the 49ers. Instead of settling for field goals that could have secured a win, Campbell remained aggressive like he had all season and the team blew a 17-point lead.

The Lions head coach has taken a ton of criticism, despite the fact he's not responsible for multiple dropped passes, a fumble and a freak of nature pass that bounced off a DB.

Instead of dissecting the game as a whole, many have just decided to paint Campbell as public enemy number one.

Frank Ragnow praises Dan Campbell.

While many might want to slam Campbell and call out his coaching, veteran center Frank Ragnow isn't among them. He has nothing but praise for his coach.

"He's the best. He's one of the best people, leaders I've ever been around. Transparent. Authentic. Passionate. You name it. It's a pleasure to play for that man. I just didn't even realize how good of a coach there is out there until I met him. He just blew me away. And he continues to blow me away. It's a pleasure to play under him," Ragnow told the media earlier in the week when talking about his relationship with Campbell.

The Lions love Campbell.

As a Lions fan, this is the kind of praise that I simply love to see. That video is raw, emotional, authentic, real and gets straight to a simple point:

The guys who work with Dan Campbell love the man.

He's the kind of leader you want in a foxhole with you. It's easy to mock and make fun of him because he wears his heart on his sleeve, but you can't argue with the man's passion.

The Lions leader is a football man through and through. Hate it if you want, but in a world where authenticity is shockingly rare, Campbell is overflowing with it.

The future is still bright in Detroit, and it's awesome to see the team have Campbell's back. With Ben Johnson returning, the core staying together and the team's electric leader still in charge, there's plenty to be optimistic about.
