Caitlyn Jenner Calls Lia Thomas Narcissist: 'I Think She Just Wants The Publicity'

Olympic champion Caitlyn Jenner joined OutKick's Riley Gaines on the latest episode of the Gaines For Girls podcast.

In it, they covered a lot of ground, including some talk about transgender former collegiate swimmer, Lia Thomas.

Thomas — who Gaines competed against during her collegiate swimming days — has announced plans to sue World Aquatics after the organization made the reasonable decision to ban athletes who had gone through male puberty from competing in the women's category.

This was because… well, we all know why.

Gaines and Jenner talked about how World Aquatics had tried to appease everyone by creating a third category for transgender athletes, but no one has competed in that category yet.

"There's not enough of them. Yeah, there's not enough of them. I mean, you couldn't make up a football team out of all the trans people that are in sports, you know? It's just not going to happen."

As far as Thomas' lawsuit against World Aquatics, Jenner felt it reeked of narcissism.

"Honestly, I think (Thomas is) a narcissist. I think she just wants the publicity," Jenner said, before adding that Thomas was a nobody before getting into women's swimming.

"And then all of a sudden she was on covers of magazines and she's just living up all the press or she's getting clicks all over the place. She's getting followers all over the place to see what this story is," Jenner said. "And while for the last six, nine months, we really haven't heard much about her ever since the Olympic committee came out and basically said, 'You're not eligible,' and now she's trying to fight that. I think she's doing it for the publicity, you know?

"I don't know any other reason why she should. I mean, you know, why she would. So, you know, let her get her little, a few more days."
