Brent Venables' Wife Announces Awesome Health Update After Cancer Diagnosis

Brent Venables' wife Julie is cancer free.

The wife of the Oklahoma Sooners football coach was diagnosed with breast cancer last June. As we all know, dealing with cancer is simply brutal.

Not only is it terrible for the person battling the sickness, but the stress it puts on everyone else can be breaking. It's a horrible thing.

The good news for Julie is that her battle is over.

"I’m doing routine blood screenings, but right now there’s zero cancer," Julie Venables revealed to The Oklahoman.

Battle fought. Battle won.

Venables addressed the media Wednesday about the great news, but noted that battling cancer is "terrifying" and "you're never real comfortable." The Sooners head coach also gave a big shoutout to the incredible medical staff who took care of his wife.
