'Boomer & Gio' Awkwardly Realize They Booked The Wrong Randy Moss For Interview

WFAN's "Boomer and Gio Show" suffered an unbelievable gaffe during Tuesday's episode.

Something sounded incredibly off to co-hosts Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti as they chatted live with producer Al Dukes. The crew discussed an upcoming interview with Randy Moss to discuss the NFL amid Super Bowl Week.

Boomer and Gio quickly grew dubious of the upcoming guest as Dukes mentioned Randy's distinct request to discuss horses.

Why would an NFL legend talk horses … ?

"Are you sure this is the right [Randy Moss], not the other Randy Moss?" Esiason asked Dukes.

"Is there another?" Dukes dubiously responded.

The producer couldn't believe the ridiculous switch-up.

Turns out, Dukes invited the wrong guy, instead contacting NBC horse racing analyst (and former NFL Network employee) Randy Moss to discuss football on the program.

Randy Moss, the NFL legend, also looks nothing like the equine enthusiast.

The ‘Boomer and Gio’ crew broke into laughter as the apparent mistake continued to unfold, live before audiences.

"I was thinking, like there’s no way Randy Moss was coming here," Esiason added.

Boomer poked fun at Dukes' expense, adding that he couldn't wait for the producer to begrudgingly hop on the phone with the ‘faux’ Randy Moss to cancel the interview.

In defense of the producer's folly, it's certainly not the first time someone's switched up their Randys.
