Antisemitic Lawmaker Calls For Vicious Rejection Of Israel's Olympians At Paris Games
An antisemitic, leftist lawmaker is stoking the political fires ahead of the Paris Summer Olympics by asking French diplomats to take action to prevent and oppose the participation of Israeli Olympic athletes.
Left-wing French pol Thomas Portes gave a radical speech at a pro-Palestine rally over the weekend, viciously calling for the rejection of Israeli Olympians.
The hateful messaging by Portes also highlights past violence called for against Israeli Olympians, notably the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, where 11 athletes representing Israel were killed by a Palestinian terrorist group.
Portes said, "France’s diplomats should pressure the International Olympic Committee to bar the Israeli flag and anthem, as is done for Russia."
"It’s time to end the double standard."
Portes works as a lawmaker for France Unbowed (LFI), an extreme left-wing organization (which should already paint the picture of his lack of sanity).
Portes attempts to vilify and misrepresent Israel over the US ally's war in Gaza. The left-wing figure dismisses the atrocity committed by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023, when terrorists killed and kidnapped innocent Israelis.
Following Hamas' attack on Israel, left-wing politicians on a global scale converged in a concerted effort to shift the focus from the ruthless nature of Hamas' assault. Instead, they directed their attention towards critiquing Israel for political motives.
The president of the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions, Yonathan Arfi, rebuked Portes' attempts at blocking Israeli athletes' welcome to the Paris Olympic Games (starting Friday, July 26).
Since October 7, Thomas Portes has legitimized Hamas. He now puts a target on the backs of Israeli athletes, already the most threatened in the Olympic Games."
Whether it's France or the U.S., left-wing ideologies continue to pervade based on how many politically starved ideologues need a day job.
