Sports World Has Fun With Browns Shocker Of A Win

Nobody expected the Cleveland Browns to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the AFC playoffs. Not a single soul. Not in Pittsburgh and not when the Browns had been ravished by the COVID-19 virus.

But beat the Steelers the Browns did, in many ways, by a 48-37 count Sunday night. Along the way, the Browns took a 28-0 lead in the first quarter. It marked the first playoff road win for the franchise since 1969, over a rival that had utterly dominated them.

Forget that the Browns were only a six-point underdog. Anyone who knew anything about this matchup knew the spread felt more like 66.

The stunner of a Browns win resulted in the entire sports world posting their thoughts on social media. Below is a look at some of the more-notable reactions:

  1. Good point by Clay, this is a new order of QB’s we’re seeing. Ben and Rivers out, Brady and Bree’s would be out as well if they played in the Varsity Conference. Bree’s lucked into playing against the least capable starting QB (and head coach) in pro football, Brady gets Taylor Heineken who was playing video games full time until a week ago. What a contrast between these two leagues.

  2. We’ll see on that one Bob, its 5-1 in favor of the AFC since 2015, if you’re interested in the actual outcome of games. His Highness Aaron Rodgers and his Highness Drew Bree’s each has the same number of SB wins as Paddy Boy Mahomes. And they’re nearly his Dad’s age.
