Tiger Woods and his son Charlie, 11, played in a father-son tournament over the weekend. If you spend time on Twitter, you were treated to a number of videos in which Charlie would hit a good shot, and not only would his swing look exactly like his father’s, his reactions did as well. The PGA Tour made an awesome split-screen video of the two, which only reaffirms that this is a clone situation:

There is an irony here as we are covering this story, but the spotlight is going to make it a profound challenge for Charlie Woods to have anything close to a normal adolescence. Nonetheless, it really feels like a matter of when and not if we will see him in contention for majors.
This is great. I just hope they don’t ruin the kid before he’s 18. Let the kid be a kid.
Was glued to it over the weekend. That kid is phenomenal. Gonna be fun watching him for the next 20+ years.
