Ship Carrying Sex Toys Ensnared In Suez Canal Backup

Waiting on love can be a lonely and frustrating process -- even if that love is, uh, artificial.

With that in mind, there could be some lonely and frustrated individuals after a cargo ship carrying sex toys was blocked by a massive container ship in the Suez Canal, per Metro UK.

The sex toys were manufactured by EDC Retail, which specializes in such items.

"There are more than 20 containers full of well-running items, such as vibrators, dildos and male masturbators," EDC Retail CEO Evertine Magerman told Dutch news website RTV Noord. "A lot of these products were sold for Christmas and Valentine’s Day, for example. There is now an extra lot on the way to restore stocks. But that is not possible now.  It is annoying that such a hitch will continue for a long time before the rhythm in the transport chain is restored."

But alas, an end appears to be in sight, as each of the 230 or so blocked ships are expected to soon reach climax ... er, their destinations. Per the New York Times, the massive ship blocking the passage has finally been wrenched from the shoreline and set free.

"It’s not the first time that EDC Retail has lost its buzz recently," Metro reported. "Production of their goods ceased for three weeks in China at the start of the Covid outbreak."

But as they always say, love will find a way. Real or otherwise.
