Shaq Picks Up Tab For Random Guy’s Engagement Ring

NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal was apparently frolicking in Atlanta when he decided to make a man’s day. He allegedly saw someone purchasing an engagement ring and threw his black card down to pay for it. Shaq better cool it with the handouts before he has registered Democrats following him around.

Of course it would’ve been cooler if Shaq didn’t post the event itself to his Instagram, but it’s still incredibly generous. We were gonna find out anyway, I guess:

Shaq was asked about the moment live on TNT:

Regardless of how anyone feels about the intentions behind Shaq posting the purchase — the Big Diesel still had to pay for it. That should be the real takeaway. Most professional athletes, and celebrities in general, lecture us about what we can do for each other. But very few of them actually pull out their wallet and put their money where their mouth is.

As marriage rates steadily decline, it’s nice to see a big name reinforce its purpose in society. That’s encouraging to say the least.

Any civilian, regardless of wealth, should be applauded for taking action instead of talking about helping the less fortunate. Engagement rings are expensive, so props to Shaq on this one!

  1. i wasn’t a big fan of shaq in his early years. as time goes by, the big fella grows on you.

its fascinating that God can make such huge intimidating human, with a heart of Gold.

that Generals Ins Commercial with Shaq stranded in the Woods is priceless Shaq lol

  2. I feel like pretty discretely Shaq, Chuck, and their crew are starting to represent the good, conservative side of America. It’s become more and more noticeable with the things they have done and said recently. Good for them. They see past the BS and fake wokeness of the current generation of players and aren’t afraid to impart some wisdom and, in this case, set a good example of generosity.
