SEC football returns this weekend.
Tuesday, the conference announced each player will wear a small device used to help with COVID-19 contact tracing efforts. The same devices are used in the NFL.
KINEXON produces SafeTags devices. Per the news release, the lightweight wear is about the size of a watch face.
“Through this new relationship with KINEXON, the SEC is committed to using innovative technology to provide solutions for use by our member institutions as we all work to support a healthy environment for student-athletes,” SEC commissioner Greg Sankey says.
