Sean Penn Refusing To Work On New Show Until Crew Is Fully Vaccinated

Next time you approach two-time Oscar-winning thespian Sean Penn, don't do it at close range.

On Friday it was announced that actor Sean Penn, in the middle of filming a television series for NBCUniversal titled Gaslit, will not be returning to finish his role until the entire production crew is fully vaccinated.

Setting free will ablaze using his star power, the latest demand from the show's lead joins a sweeping campaign to begin enforcing vaccine mandates among businesses, and other work areas. While the request for mandatory vaccination has received a vote of confidence from Hollywood and other key industries, Americans exercising their liberty to forego the vaccine can't help but scoff at the clear power play coming from Penn.

With the help of his nonprofit organization, Penn hopes to jab a vaccine in the remaining unvaccinated crew members before finishing production. As the show's production looks to resume in Los Angeles, vaccinated members will be required to wear masks, regardless of status, due to the county's mandatory indoor mask mandate.

According to Deadline, NBCUniversal has been receptive to Penn's vaccination mandate enforced on the show's crew, but has expressed zero intention to enforce the actor's ultimatum due to clear legal obstacles.

As underpaid production members await the onslaught of rich Hollywood actors ready to step forward in favor of a vaccine mandate, you can count on Penn to milk his privilege as a leading man.
