Sean Payton Wanted 50K Fans to Quarantine for Home Field Advantage

Home field advantage has been literally nonexistent in the NFL this season, giving New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton an outside-the-box idea: what if 50,000 fans quarantined in a bubble so that the Superdome could be rocking for the Saints' first playoff game?

"I brought up the idea of testing 50,000 people and quarantining them in a hotel and having the safest Superdome known to man," Payton says. "Scientifically. Bus them, they've tested every day. You've got a COVID-free facility. I think that's possible."

There might be only a few NFL fan bases psycho enough to quarantine for two weeks in a hotel room to spend a few hours at a playoff game, but the Saints might have one of those fan bases.

Credit to Sean Payton for being creative. It would've been a fascinating social experiment to see all these logistics put into action.
