Seahawks QB Russell Wilson: 'Not Sure If I'm Available'

Teams are apparently calling the Seattle Seahawks to see if star quarterback Russell Wilson is available, as relayed by OutKick's Matt Loede. How does Wilson feel about this news? Well, let's allow him to answer.

"I'm not sure if I'm available or not," Wilson said on The Dan Patrick Show. "That's a Seahawks question."

Wilson remains one of the premier QBs in the NFL, so it's not exactly a surprise that opposing teams would hope he's headed for a split with Seattle. Wilson at least admitted that much.

“I definitely believe they’ve gotten calls,” Wilson told Patrick. “Any time you’re a player that tries to produce every week and has done it consistently, I think people are gonna call for sure. I think that’s part of the process.”

One thing that has set Wilson apart is his laid-back approach. He never gets caught up in drama or the endless speculation. He has a reputation for being as regular of a guy as you'll find in pro spots.

“At the end of the day, you want to win,” Wilson said. “You play this game every day to wake up to win. You play this game to be the best in the world. You know what I hate? I hate sitting there watching other guys play the game.”
