Same Game Parlay for NBA on TNT: Lakers-Knicks

The NBA Season has been better than anticipated, in case you haven’t been paying attention. Only one of the “Super Teams” has been as good as advertised – the Nets, and the reduction in foul calls (and what seems like an increase in travel calls) has made the games more like basketball and less like an acting class. I’m offering up a same game parlay tonight.

I’m going to play one on the Lakers at the Knicks. Neither of these teams has been consistent whatsoever, so the volatility in this game is high. Still, it is one of the better games to look at because the Detroit game could be a blowout, and the other two have injury concerns with the two biggest names.

I’m starting with Russell Westbrook. Westbrook getting 20+ points at -112 is more realistic than him scoring 30+ points at +870. If Anthony Davis does sit out, he will be looked upon to score a lot of points tonight. He is certainly capable of getting to that 30 points, but it isn’t likely. 20 points against a struggling Knicks team is likely in my opinion.

Westbrook also will be another part of my play. In 9 games without LeBron James this season, Westbrook has gotten 13 or more assists in four of the games. I’m counting on him to make it an even 5-5. New York is one of those places that bigger named players tend to put on a show. I am adding 12+ assists to the play for Westbrook at +300.

I’m going to take Julius Randle to get under 21.5 points tonight. He’s scored 30+ points in only five games this season. One really strange thing is that he’s had only two games with 20 points scored. In only one of the games in which he scored 30 points did he score over 20 the next game, and he scored exactly 21 in that game. In his last game, he scored 34, so if the trend continues, this portion easily cashes.

I also am putting Randle in there to get over 1.5 threes on the game. Power Forwards have been able to score fairly well against the Lakers and one way they’ve done that is through three-pointers. Randle is averaging 2.4 threes per game at home. This is heavily juiced, but I’ll take it even with us betting his under. Having it in the parlay makes the juice a little more tolerated.

Total parlay: +2846, a $10 play pays $284.60. If Anthony Davis is in there, I’ll play the second version of this with him scoring first to boost our odds to +12479.
